If there is one thing I have learned in my many years of research and insights gathering is that many times it is all too easy for respondents to give us surface-level ‘insights’ without the deeper human truth. And, sometimes, even with the best interviewers and researchers, people are unwilling to share the deeper tensions and contextual background that leads to their behaviors and choices – especially in ‘taboo’ areas such as hair loss, ED, mental health, etc.
